What we collect and why

The business brief collects your business type, website goal, business name, selected service, optional current website address and notes, your name and email address. Your choices are included in the saved project brief. We use these to review your request, respond and discuss a possible project. This is processing necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract. You are not automatically subscribed to marketing.

Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in the brief.

Storage and providers

Enquiries are stored in the website database and are available through an access-restricted team inbox. Hosting and storage are provided through the Sites platform and Cloudflare infrastructure. The form does not currently forward your details to an external CRM or email automation service.

Hosting providers may process connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website. Infrastructure may process information outside the UK. Provider arrangements and applicable safeguards govern that processing.

Retention

Unconverted enquiry records are reviewed after 12 months and removed when no longer needed for follow-up, resolving a query or meeting a legal obligation. If you become a client, project and accounting records are subject to the retention requirements relevant to those records.

Optional analytics

If you allow analytics, we record page paths and events such as opening a project, requesting a preview, starting a form and successfully submitting it. Records contain an event name, page path, optional project label, random event reference and timestamp. They do not contain your name, email, message, device fingerprint or full referring URL.

Optional analytics relies on consent. You can withdraw it through Cookie settings. Analytics records expire after 90 days and are removed on the next event request. Reports describe this BuildBold website, not client website results.

Browser preferences

Your analytics choice is stored on your device. Animation follows your device’s reduced-motion preference. A temporary enquiry receipt is stored in your browser session after a successful submission. See our cookie and storage information.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict processing or request portability where applicable. Email us, including your enquiry reference if available. Some rights depend on the circumstances and legal basis.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office about how information is handled.
