ACCESSIBILITY / UPDATED 13 OCTOBER 2026
Accessibility statement
BuildBold wants everyone to be able to explore our work, understand our services and contact us, including people who use assistive technology. This statement covers the BuildBold website.
Our approach
Our accessibility goal is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We use these guidelines to inform improvements. The website has not completed a full accessibility assessment, so we cannot yet confirm its conformance with that standard.
Features in place
- A “Skip to content” link and visible keyboard focus styles.
- Page headings, labelled form fields and written validation messages.
- A navigation menu that uses a dialog and can be closed with Escape.
- A before-and-after comparison with a keyboard-operable slider and buttons to show either image in full.
- Project image descriptions, with decorative illustrations excluded from screen-reader output.
- Layouts designed to adapt to different screen widths, without disabling browser zoom.
- Animations and automatic project transitions that respect your device’s reduced-motion setting.
Current limitations and testing
We have reviewed relevant accessibility features in the website’s source and checked that the site builds. A complete manual review with keyboard navigation, screen readers, browser zoom and mobile devices has not yet been completed. Colour contrast across all states and the behaviour of interactive elements with assistive technology still need a full assessment.
Portfolio screenshots contain text as part of the image. Their descriptions and project pages explain the work, but a screen reader cannot read every detail within each screenshot. Contact us if you need a fuller description or an alternative format.
The menu, business brief, project filters and comparison controls require JavaScript. You can email us directly if an interactive feature prevents you from getting in touch. Websites linked from our portfolio may have different accessibility features and limitations.
Report a problem or request help
Email buildbold26@gmail.com if something is difficult to use or you need information in another format.
Please include the page address, what you were trying to do and what prevented you from doing it. If you are comfortable sharing them, your browser, device and assistive technology can help us investigate. We will review your report and discuss a suitable way to help.
Keeping this statement current
This statement was prepared on 13 October 2026. We will update it as accessibility checks are completed, barriers are identified or the website changes.
